We chose a Dhurri, a flat weave which makes them easy to care for and dog friendly (Stella Bleu approves).
That was a more difficult decision than I had thought – we looked at dozens and ended up choosing a larger version of the one we loved in the bedroom. I’m waiting for a few more items for the living room that are on back order, but other than those and some wall art and a few accessories, I am just about finished with this room.
So, now on to the bedroom….
I was originally looking for an upholstered headboard and frame but couldn’t find “the one”. Then, I saw this lovely bed…we absolutely love it!
The duvet and shams are my favorite French ticking (had to have that somewhere) in a soft grey. I love how the grey looks next to the crisp white bed linens. Because the condo is smallish, I tried to use the same colors throughout the unit.
We found a great trunk at DeCOR in Richmond and it fits perfectly at the end of the bed. The wall sconces I ordered are still on back order, so I’ve placed the floor lamp from the living room next to the bed.
It will look nice next to the leather chair and the nested tables in the living room too.
There isn’t a lot of room next to the bed for a bedside table, so I’m going to use these cute little vintage stools I had at the shop.
A nice mirror or art for over the chest and I think the bedroom will be finished.
Before I go…I’m loving all the trees here in Florida – especially the dozens of variations of palms. These are just a few that are right around our condo.
