Using White Chalk Paint® Wax

September 8, 2016

I introduced Annie Sloan’s new Chalk Paint® Waxes into my shops a few weeks ago and am pleased to see that you are loving them (as am I). These new waxes open up a whole new range of finishes you can achieve with Chalk Paint®.

One of my favorites is to use the White Chalk Paint® Wax to give a limed effect on raw wood or a beachy look such as on the cabinet below painted by fellow Stockist Alley Cat Chic. It softens the look of the Old Violet (used as a base on this chest) just perfectly, don’t you think?

Want to know how to apply her White Wax? In the video below, Annie shows you how – I love how she painted the chair in the video using Olive, one of my favorite colors. Using her White Wax over the Olive paint is a great way to highlight the carved detailing of the chair.

And don’t forget to use Annie’s Wax brushes –

They are made of pure bristle with natural split ends. They come in two sizes and feature ergonomically shaped handles for the effortless application of finishing coats of wax onto painted surfaces. They are shaped to a point to assist with working wax into intricate, detailed areas and tight corners.

Look for Chalk Paint® Wax – now in four colors – and Annie’s brushes at my shops.
